At first, Carlos, who has Tourette syndrome, was nervous about performing on a stage this big. Nevertheless, his performance demonstrated his passion for music and his desire to overcome his challenges. In addition to being flawless, his rendition of “Gravity” was intensely emotive, bringing many in the audience to tears.
Carlos has surmounted several obstacles in his life, which makes his performance even more remarkable. He was given a Tourette’s syndrome diagnosis early in life and has had to deal with the prejudice and social stigma that usually go along with it. But he has always pursued his goals with unwavering dedication and has never let his circumstances define him.
