When 14-year-old Sofie Dossi stepped onto the America’s Got Talent stage, she looked like any ordinary teenager. But beneath her sweet smile was a self-taught contortionist and hand balancer capable of defying human anatomy.
Unlike trained acrobats who spend years in specialized academies, Sofie taught herself contortion entirely at home after watching videos online. With her dad building all her custom props in their yard, she built an act so dangerous that even seasoned judges watched through their fingers.
Flaming Arrows and Zero Safety Nets
After stunning the judges in her initial audition, Sofie returned with an act that turned up the danger to an extreme level. Balancing high above the stage on hand-stands with zero safety nets, she bent her body in ways that seemed physically impossible.
Just when the audience thought she had reached her limit, the performance took a jaw-dropping turn:
- Blind Contortion: Bending backward to hold her entire body weight using only her jaw and balance bars.
- Fire-Tipped Precision: Aiming a flaming bow and arrow using only her feet.
